Here’s another one just in time for the New Year:

I am a busy 38 year old businessman. I moved to Devon in early 2011, and needed a personal trainer in the area to achieve two goals. Firstly, committments to work had meant a decline over 12 months in visits to the gym, and a lack of attention to diet. My weight had reached 17 stone and my blood pressure was raised. The first goal was to lose weight by a combination of exercise and better diet. Secondly, I had agreed to do the three peaks challenge in September (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden, back to back) and had to get fit quick!

Dave helped me quickly achieve my goals, showing complete understanding of what was required, and being completely flexible to fit around my work life. This included many very early home visits, as I have a gym at home. Dave designed a 3 months programme of exercise (three times weekly) and dietary control. The former was intensive and (as you would hope) exhausting at times! However, it was completely appropriate for my goals being geared towards burning fat and getting the right parts of my body fit for the Peaks.

With Dave, you get complete support and enthusiam both during and around the sessions. You work hard as much for him as for yourself.

I lost 1.5 stones in 3 months, and have kept a stone of this off, even including Christmas. My BP is normal. I wizzed up the Peaks without injury, and raised over £1000 for charity.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Dave, and would still be using him now, if I wasn’t moving out of the region.

The Blog Is Back,

Hey all the Blog and myself are finially back and ready to rock 2012 by storm. Well a lot of work had been going on with myself and mainly with my clients.

If you wasn’t all ready aware of knew, i now have another Website up and running under the name of Core Physique. It is an Online Transformation Website looking at helping people change there lives via the net. For more information be sure to check it out, if your feeling like a challenge then why not commit yourself.

Be sure to check out the site for all the latest info on Transformations with my 1-1 Clients & of course Online.

www.corephysique.co.uk

Other than the website there has been a lot of New Client Testimonials on the site, here is just a few to keep your Motivation high and on the right path. Here you go:

Steve Flanders – 1-1 Client:

I started with Core Physique back in March 2011 and set a target with Dave to achieve more lean muscle and weight loss within a suitable time frame. Dave designed a diet and training schedule which allowed me to focus on a specific set of body parts on a daily basis with some additional cardio sessions in between to assist with my overall fitness. With a starting weight of just under 18st I was determined to keep to the program and focus on the end goal of what was set. Now 4 months later I have hit a weight of 16st 8lb, reduced my body fat and improved my overall wellbeing.

Now that I’m close to my set target set by Dave my next goal is to build up on the muscle mass and train harder to get back to my best physique possible Just turning 40 and feeling great for it has given me a better outlook ahead and with myself setting a target of running the London Marathon in 2012 I’m even more focused to achieving something not just for myself but for a charity I’m doing it for. I can’t thank the team at Core Physique for the training and backup that they offer and would suggest that if you really want to change then go see “The Fugeinator” at Core Physique.

Alex Rowe – 1-1 Client:

I’d been stumbling along for a while making up my own fitness regimens and was becoming stale but also not making the progress I wanted which was a combination of weight loss, strength but not bulk and cardiovascular fitness. Dave puts all your goals together and creates a varying fresh programme every week which never fails to give you a feeling of achievement as well as some results. Dave got me leaner, stronger and fitter, resulting in my first of hopefully many triathlons. Shame I bought 2 pairs of expensive jeans before I started training!!

Tom Chapman – Online Transformation Client:

After trying to find a new outfit for a family birthday and not finding a single thing that woud fit i decided it was time to get fit and drop some serious weight with a serious life change. After joining the gym and making up my own regime with a little research weight started to come off. This slowed down very quickly. Then i spoke to Dave Fuge and then things really started to change! He gave me an easy to follow diet plan and an interesting, fresh and varied workouts. Dave told me to keep records of weight and size in photos and a diary which helped keep my motivation up and got me into the best shape of my life. Having Dave to hand online and via text was fantastic as he kept me on track.

The above are just a few of that has been going on of the past 8-12 weeks at Core Physique. Be sure to keep looking back on here as well as checking out the New Site.

I will be updating this site regularly with all the lastest news with my clients, as well as myself and my training especially in 2012.

Hello There!!

Well hello there Peep’s,

I no, i no it’s been a while since i have posted anything on here but i have been busy with clients as well as running my new fitness team Core Physqiue (www.corephysique.co.uk) be sure to check us out on the net. But i promise you i won’t be giving up on this site so all is A OK!!

So what i thought i would give you since it has been a while is a brand new testimony from one of my clients that i have been working with over the past couple of months. Here it is:

I am Barbara James a 49 year old Foster carer who has very little spare time, but I have made myself find the time and am so glad I have.

I want to share with you all out there my transformation. I have been working with Dave since March.

And the change in my body sharp is just great. I have dropped 2 dress sizes and actually enjoyed the journey

I was one of the, ‘I hate the gym people’ and could be heard saying “it’s boring and I don’t need to go to the gym I can just diet” (not eat very much really).

But with my plan I was gradually piling the pounds on, as being hungry all the time I picked at food, sound familiar!!

My husband had been going to Winners2000 for some time and was always encouraging me to go, but without success, then just before my 49th birthday I had to go to funeral, I found that I couldn’t get into any of my black trousers. Which was a shock? This year I was also diagnosis with condition which can effect my muscles as it progresses so everything pointed to me getting things sorted out.

That week I picked up the phone to Winners gym and I consider I was very lucky that Dave answered it.

I told him I wanted to come down to the gym, but I didn’t really, as I was very worried about it, thinking I  didn’t have what  I knew it took, or what my muscles would be able to withstand.

I have been very fit when I was younger, but this was many many years ago, so I was scared of the work I knew I needed to do.

Dave instantly put my mind at rest, we discussed my worries and my diet, then he explained to me how together we would achieve my goal, He read up on my condition so that he was aware of any limitations I may encounter and we discussed my goal which was to get to be a toned 8st 7lb before I reached 50.

He said to me that we would achieve it well before the dreaded 50 and he was right as I am 1lb off the target now in Aug. My body fat has reduced considerably and I have lost inches all over.

I have really enjoyed our sessions which Dave varies each week; He gives me a training programme to work with between our sessions.

I have found Dave very professional and he has a calming manner, he pushes me and gives me confidence.  I have found that when I am in the gym on my own I have been able to push myself more than I could have ever imagined. But I also know he keeps an eye on me, which encourages me further.

Dave devised a diet plan for me which I found very easy to use, and was surprised that it was more food than I had previously been eating.

It amazes me how much my body is now able to do, and some times look at the exercise and think I will never do that, and then with Dave’s support I CAN.

I now feel so much stronger and healthier, with so much more energy to run after the children.

I always leave the gym after our session feeling so good about myself and what I have achieved.

I find Winners2000 a professional and friendly environment to train in.

Barbara James

Well peep’s be sure to keep popping back i will be bringing much much more information on my trainign and dieting now that i have booked a holiday. I have 8 weeks to get into shape of a good standard to be walking along that beach.

All the best!!

Dave

What Tom Said:

Around 3 months ago i decided to join my local gym with my goal being to lose weight and tone up. To help me keep on track i decided on having personal trainng sesson as well. This is when i met Dave who set up a training program aimed at helping me achieve my targets and set up regular reviews where my program was upgraded. This not only enabled me to get the best results but made the program more challenging. Along with this and Dave’s diet tips i have already seen a large improvement. With Dave’s enthusiasm and encouragement every step of the way he has made going to the gym not only an enjoyable experience but also a challenging one.

Our View:

When i first Met Tom during our first session upon him joining the gym i could tell straight away that he was shy and maybe not so confident through being quite. We started Tom off on a basic easy to follow training plan as the guy had never set foot in a gym, let alone left a weight before. As the weeks went by during our training sessions i could see a massive difference in Tom, by that the changes he was making to his body though the training plan & custom diet plan that was made for him. His confidence was growing by the way that he was in the gym and when you made conversation with him. The gym is an amazing tool, it’s doesn’t just change the way you look, but helps get the best out of you through confidence and selfesteem.

Tom made amazing changes to his body in such a short time on his first training plan, thats why during his next couple of upgrades we ramped things up to make sure that the transformation continues.

What an amazing change Tom has made through sound nutrition (No Supplemenats used, not even protein) and regular training with a lot of commitment.

The Latest News!!!

Hey everyone,

I hope all that follow me and who check back for all my regular updates are all doing really well and have had a great week in the gym working towards achieving thir goals??

My week has been very hectic with trying to get back into a routine with work and clients, notjust that though but the early mornings and long days. Since landing back in the UK after my US adventure i took a week off of training and the diet to help rest the body as well as the mind. Getting away from everything for a few days whether it be going on holiday or just taking a weeks break and doing something completely differnet helps to relax the mind.

I am now thinking of my next goal and what i will be working towards until i next step on stage next year. I will be outlining what i plan on setting myself up for, for the rest of 2011 very soon once i have sat down and thought out my goals. You all will be the very first to know whats on the agenda.

For now though folks be sure to stay committed to your goals, be sure to implement everything into achieving yours goals a step at a time. Don’t run before you can walk so to speak.

From This 24th May 2010 saying farewell to my Ozzie living sister size 18/20 and weighing in at 12st12lb think its my biggest ever at 5foot 2in(if I stand real tall) thats heavy for a little lady. I was slow, My hair got greasy quickly, My shoulder was frozen I could only raise it to a certain height, my back ached, just getting up to make a cup of tea at the end of the day it took a few minutes to straighten up, I wasn’t visiting the toilet as oft as I should so was always feeling bloated & puffy, My knees ached, my ankles ached and as for the sex drive well I couldnt be bothered. Well I was getting older. I was a Grandmother its what happens when you get older I’ve been told NO This cant be right…..
I don’t like this…. SO…. What to do???
Challenge myself needed a serious challenge to get my butt into gear. How about The London Marathon!!!!!!!
I put in a place with a charity & started seriously looking at my diet and being ruthless with it I had over 3 stone to loose and if I did get a place in the Marathon I would have to get the weight down or I would never make it October came and an acceptance email from Seafarers UK for a place in the Virgin London Marathon YESSSS Ok I had to really up my little 20min circuit jogs every morning if I was going to do 26.2 miles then as with many new runners my knees started to ache So Off to Winners Paignton I went and sat down with Dave Fuge and told him my goals and my little problem

My View:

Juile is one of our hardest working clients we have on our books here at Core Physique. I remember Julie walking though the doors of Winners2000 with some what of a smile on her face. Me and Julie got chatting about life, and what she had been up to since i last saw her which was a couple of years ago. Julie was actually looking great i thought and which i mentioned to her, then she said “Thats’s what i am here for”! She mentioned and told me that she has been training for the London Marathon and was a couple of weeks into her preparation when a reoccurring knee problem. She was wondering what she could do if she she joined the gym, and thats where i came in.

Me and Julie decided to start trianing together, helping her prepare by doing her Strength & Conditioning and rehabilitation on her knee to help her get some functional strength back in it and get her over that line. Apart from that we discussed her nutrition, and developed her a plan that would allow her to have enough energy to get through her runs, by monitoring the way she felt on each long run. The reason of this is that we didn’t want Julie to put any weight on as she was still aiming to lose, which is another goal that we would be working on at the same time.

As the weeks went by, Julie was increasingly achieving amazing results through her training & nutrition. We made sure that she was getting enough rest to recover and perform to her optimium level she could on each run. Around 5-6 weeks out from the run, disaster struck, Julie some how injured herself after a training session. This seriously dampened her spirits in the gym and in herself, we made sure that she rested and that she recieved the proper help that she needed from Sports Physios. Unfornuately Julie did have to pull out of her first London Marathon, we were all very devastated. Julie looked on the bright side which i thought was tremendous, she managed to defer her place until next year which means she can get stronger and better ready for next years event.

A very brave woman, she is still working as hard as ever right now and very much determined to achieve futher weight loss and achieve her run which we all know she will do.

We want to say a “Massive Well Done Julie” for all your hard work, and achievement on your transformation and losing 42lbs of fat!

We look forward to continuely helping you imrpove and achieve your goals through hard work and dedication!!

Day 5 23rd May The Long Journey Home:

The 5 days came around quick, quicker then what I thought, I only just got over the jetlag and before I knew it I was back on a plane with a 16 hour plane journey ahead of me back to the UK.

We got our transfer to the airport where we checked in and waited around to board the plane. As you can imagine yes I got searched due to all the supplements that I had won and been given from the show. I was expecting it and got through quite easily thank god. We board the plane which was just over 2 hours to Washington D.C. There was a bit of a wait here before we got back on the plane for another 6 hour flight. The flight on the way home was a lot less then what it was on the way out, by 4 hours actually due to being more on the East Coast so it made it easier for us, apart from the leg room which was nonexistent on this flight.

The whole experience from the show was incredible and i am now going back to the drawing board to start work on the body and get ready for next time by making the necessary improvements for next time.

Be sure to check back with a few more bits of information about the show and what else went on.

Thank You

Day 4 22nd May Photo Shoot Day:

The following day after the show it was show time with Mr David Bickley, this guy was awesome and someone I will defiantly be working with in the future when I go and compete again for the WBFF. We started the shoot off at Golds Gym, in Westport!

We got some great shots at the gym before we moved on. Dave gave me some great advice for future shots and the guy was really easy to get on with and made you feel welcoming before you stripped down to shoot. The gym was awesome; it reminded me of Winners2000 the place was spacious with loads of kit. The gym was being used for other photo shoots with people from yesterdays show. They all looked great and looked like they were having a great time. During the soot I managed to get a photo with the man himself Micah Lacerte. This guy is the one that made It all happen, he’s the guy that invited me out to his show and make things happen. A big Thank You to Micah & Diana for making me feel so welcome and all the help with all the questions I had before I flew out.

After we finished off at the gym, we drove down to an abandoned industrial estate and continued the shoot on a bridge and train track, the whole experience again was amazing and one that I will be working on doing again very soon. The day come to an end with the three of us hitting up Gates Bar-B-Que which is something like I have never seen or heard of. Everyone was on about this place at the show and now I know why. The food was massive and amazing, & I have never felt so stuffed and full up in my life. It was worth it!!

After a long day it was time to chill, we headed up to the famous Power & Light district which was quite quiet but it was good to chill out and see the place and also to eat again once the last meal went down.

That was the end of that day!!

Day 3 21st May – Show Time: Ok today was the day I would be stepping on stage and achieving my goal of competing in America. The guys that I had seen the night before had put doubts in my head whether I could do this. I didn’t feel like I was anywhere near their standard and level. But It was something that I had set my heart on doing and had been working my socks off for 12 weeks solid. I woke up early to get my first meal in me, all the athletes had to turn up to the venue which was the midland Theatre, early for a head count and check in before the pre-judging started in the morning.

This was a big moment for me there were 50 competitors back stage that I would be walking on stage with and flexing to try and get to the top 10 or above. It was a long wait before we went on stage, we were getting our Tan’s retouched up and get the glaze added by the company again. Everyone was in good spirits back stage, I think I was the most nervous of all, the standard was amazing and nothing like i had come up against before. They were all amazing and boy did I have work cut out.

The time had come to step up on that stage, I had my number “416”, it got called out by the commentator. We had to do a “T Walk” which I had never done before but prior to stepping on that stage I had watched what everyone else had done. It was time to show them what I had travelled 16 hours for and once the commentator said this, the applause and noise that I got was surreal. It was such a buzz and good to finely get out there. It felt like we were up on that stage forever, I was cramping but had to keep smiling and posing none stop to everyone was out on that stage. The comparisons got called and then the pre-judging was over. There was now a 5 hours gap to the start of the evening show which is where we had to do it all over again, plus add in the evening where round. Once I got changed I walked backed to my hotel to chill and get my suit ready. I think the walk was like 16 blocks in the boiling heat, it was insane but we made it back to our air conditioned room to chill out and sleep.

5pm came and it was time to head back up town to the theatre for the evening round, the stage was lit up even more this time compared to this morning is was ridiculous how much work the WBFF put into their stage, but I guess that’s why they are one of if not the best federations around.

Another long wait came until we stepped on stage, first of all before we went on with my category. We had to do a stage walk with everyone including the women, the stage was so full it was incredible especially when the women had to walk through all the guys with therie high hills on and us guys were all in bare feet. Yes we had to watch our toes big time, those heels could defiantly do some damage.

The time came to step on stage, we done exactly the same as we done in the morning, but this time in front of a much bigger crowd and the place was on Fire, the atmosphere again was far better from what the morning was, which made the experience again completely different.

Once that was done it was around an hour’s wait before we went back on in our evening where, I had a fitted suit, where as some people had casual wear, jeans & T-Shirts. Everyone looked good. Once we got called it was time to go back on the final placing’s where going to get announced everyone lapped it up as it was the final time of being on stage. I got told at the end I was one of the best dressed on that stage from what I was wearing 9Big thank you to my girl). I didn’t get placed in the top 10 so all the people that weren’t like myself left the stage for the top ten to be presented with their awards. The journey was over for me time to go back to the hotel and eat and reflect on an amazing journey.

The whole show was just amazing, nothing like I had ever seen or expected before in a show. Just the way the show was run from the start, nothing went wrong, no hold up’s or anything. Usually the shows I have been in before there is always something that goes wrong and holds everyone up. The line up and talent that I was up against was again nothing like I had seen before, I felt out of my depth but for me it’s a learning curve and there were lots of things that I have taken away from the show that I will be using for next time. I was so nervous, I was in a country where I knew no one apart from my girlfriend, with amazing talent but I made the most of it, and once I found out I placed in the top 15 out of 50 competitors I thought I had achieved my goal and done better then what I actually first thought.
